This course prepares you for a range of careers within the tourism and leisure industry, within either the public or private sector, in the UK or overseas. Assessment
Assessment is via a mix of examination, coursework, essays and other written assignments. Coursework includes problem solving activities, consultancy projects, presentations and individual and group reports.

Sharing many common themes with our other Graduate Diplomas in the surveying disciplines, Quantity Surveying provides a fast-track towards gaining qualification as a Chartered Surveyor. What makes this course different is its focus on the financial and economic aspects of the built environment.
Within this context, the main aims of the course are:
to allow you to progress to the work-experience stage of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors qualification

The Public Service Degrees at Anglia Ruskin aim to provide the highly sought-after skills and knowledge that public services such as the Police, Prison Service, Fire Service, Ambulance Service, Revenue and Customs and the Armed Forces have identified as important for their employees to possess. These degrees are designed to improve the academic capital of emergency public service workers although anyone working with the public would benefit from taking this exciting and challenging course.
The teaching staff include lecturers who have previous experience in working in the public services and you are likely to be sitting alongside some part time students who are currently employed in the public services.

The Public Service Foundation Degree programme provides an opportunity to learn about the uniformed public services directly through work-based learning and in the classroom. Modules focus on such subjects as leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills, disaster planning, workplace cultures, ethical practice, financing public services, politics and public service, deviance, forensic science, equality and cultural diversity.
There are two degrees currently on offer: a Foundation Degree and a BA (Hons). Normally the BA (Hons) is only offered after the successful completion of study on the Public Service Foundation Degree, but applications from suitably qualified students are considered on their individual merits.
