Financial Aid MBA Degrees at Midwestern State University
A wide variety of financial aid opportunities exist for both U.S. and International students pursuing their MBA at Midwestern State University.
Graduate Assistantships
Qualified graduate students with acceptable scores on the GMAT are eligible for consideration as teaching assistants, administrative assistants, and research assistants.
The following criteria must be met for those students interested in applying for an MBA Assistantship.
1. You must take a minimum of 6 hours of graduate level course work.
2. You must have taken the GMAT and made a score of 400 or better.
3. You must have applied for admission to or been accepted into the MBA program.
4. The assistantship is for the fall – spring academic year.
5. The assistantship is for a period of two full semesters only, single semester assistantships are not available.
6. Students must reapply for the assistantship each year.
7. Graduate Teaching Assistants must have completed a minimum of eighteen graduate credit hours in the subject matter field.
8. Students holding a graduate assistantship are not permitted to register for graduate internships without written permission of the Graduate Coordinator.
Two levels of Assistantship are offered: Full and Half.
Full Graduate Assistantships pay $7,500.00 for 9 months and cover both the Fall and Spring semesters
Half Gradaute Asssistantships pay $3,750.00 for 9 months and cover both the Fall and Spring semesters
The number of each depends on the number and quality of applications recieved.
Additionally, all students selected as a Graduate Assistant (full or half) receive a Graduate Merit Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 over two semesters.
To be considered for a graduate assistantship position, your application must be received by July 15 of the Fall semester for which you intend to enroll.
Note: all assistantships are for a one year period, Fall / Spring semestsers only.

Graduate Merit Scholarships
Applicants must be seeking a graduate degree and must be enrolled in at least 6 hours of graduate level courses.
Applicants must satisfy all admission requirements of the university and of the proposed graduate major program.
Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Currently Graduate merit Scholarships are awarded for $500.00 in the Fall and Spring semesters.

The Dillard College of Business Administration offers a wide variety of competitive scholarships that are available to graduate as well as undergraduate students. U.S. Citizens
If you are a U.S. citizen, your cost to attend Midwestern State University is the Texas in-state tuition rate plus an additional $30.00 per semester credit hour. This is true for ALL U.S. citizens regardless of where you live.

Graduate students are eligible for up to $18,500 in student loans. This is regardless of income. Grad students can also qualify for State need-based grants. The maximum amount a semester would be $750 for full time. This is based on income.

International Students
International students are eligible for consideration to obtain a Competitive Tuition Waiver. This waiver allows academically competitive students to pay in-state tuition. Typically, this scholarship is earned after one academic year and must be awarded in conjunction with a $1000 competitive scholarship. Students receiving a full Graduate Merit Scholarship are eligible for the competitive tuition waiver.
